I use mine with an outdoor antenna to pick up local stations.
One draw back is if you record high definition the play back is in standard definition.
I am looking at buying one to replace an old crappy Kross unit I have. So essentially it will fill up the DVD with the best quality it can to its size etc?? It took LG 4 weeks to repair it and not once did they apologise for providing inferior products!

I then divide the file getting rid of the extra time if it's something I want to record.
Mine's started playing up after 18 months so I think it's time to replace the hard drive in this unit (cheaper than buying a new one)...
This Magnavox DVD recorder is capable of recording up to 36 different programs every month so you can store all of your preferred programs.
It also has a DV input and S-video input so that it is compatible with most systems.
On the best picture quality setting the DVR will hold over 200 hours of video.
Hi All, Has anyone got one of these LG DVD HDD recorders? Does anybody know if these recorders support any sort of Auto fit technology.
The shows still look good to me but I grew up watching black and white analog TV.
I have not used the DVD yet so I cannot comment on it.
With it, you can watch, forward, rewind or freeze live TV, while you are recording another program at the same time.
It has four-way dubbing and virtual surround sound.
The last one failed after 14 months, just outside warranty.
